Did Natalie Portman Wear A Dior Wedding Dress To Marry Benjamin Millepied?

Did Natalie Portman Wear A Dior Wedding Dress To Marry Benjamin Millepied? | Grazia Fashion

If there's one thing that's guaranteed to get Grazia Daily giddy it's a fancy wedding, so we're most grateful to Natalie Portman who got hitched to her ballet beau this weekend in predictably dreamy style.

The stunnning actress wed Benjamin Millepied (y'know, the hawt dancer she met during the filming of Black Swan) in a traditional Jewish ceremony on Saturday evening. The couple said their vows under a chuppah (wedding canopy) at a private residence in the cliff-side California coastal town of Big Sur while A-list guests including Macaulay Culkin watched on.

Most importantly, what of the DRESS? Sneaky snaps have emerged (that are strictly forbidden from appearing here, grr) and we can confirm it's as gorgeously feminine as we'd expect from the star. Picture this, if you will: a classic white frock in a '50s stylee, full-skirted with a nipped in waist and a midi he mline. Yep, no floor-sweepers for our Nat. The sleeves are long and sheer and the design is fuss-free. As for the veil, a waft of chiffon cascaded to her lower back from a floral headband worn over loose brunette waves. The look was topped off with a classic pair of nude heels. Uh-huh, it looks just as heavenly as it sounds.

Natalie Portman in vintage Dior at the Oscars

Considering NP is the face of Christian Dior (the latest ad for Diorskin Nude range has just been released, in fact) us Graziettes are placing our bets on the wedding gown coming courtesy of the French fashion house. You'll remember the actress chose a red strapless dress by Dior for the Oscar Awards earlier this year and the Couture number creat ed way back in 1954 won rave reviews. So might the blushing bride have done the vintage Dior thing again for her wedding day? The silhouette is certainly similar in its timeless elegance...

Or perhaps Natalie turned to the handy work of designer-of-the-moment Raf Simons? The wedding dress does bear a striking resemblance to the superly feminine Simons-created gowns presented on Dior's couture catwalk last month (check them out in the gallery above). As Grazia's Paula Reed said at the time, the Simons-for-Dior silhouette is simple and buzzing with a youthful energy, making it perfect for a modern day bride, not to mention a Dior muse.

Stay tuned as we await confirmation...
