Legendary fashion writer and editor Diana Vreeland will be honoured for her services to fashion with a place on the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style in Beverly Hills.
Vreeland will be the 19th recipient of a plaque on the Walk which was introduced in 2003 by the City of Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee to honour style legends for their contributions to the worlds of fashion and entertainment.

Honorees are presented with permanent plaques featuring their personal quotes and signatures, which are then embedded into the sidewalks along Rodeo Drive.
The plaque will unveiled by Vreeland's son Tim and the wife of her grandson Alexander, Lisa Immordino Vreeland.
Diana Vreeland, who passed away in 1989, is best known for her 25-year tenure as a columnist for US Harper's Bazaar and also for her work at the Vogue and the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She also advised Jacqueline Kennedy on her wardrobe choices throughout John F. Kennedy's election campaign.

Those who have already been honoured with a spot of the Walk of Style include Tom Ford, Donatella and Gianni Versace, Giorgio Armani, Manolo Blahnik and Mario Testino.
Vreeland is the subject of a documentary due to be released later this month titled Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel which has been directed by her granddaughter-in-law. The film explores Vreeland's "challenging childhood, fraught with parental strain, insecurities and academic failures, her self-preservation and her break through - reinventing herself as the dazzling, adventurous woman who would win the heart of ravishing bachelor Reed Vreeland."
