It’s fairly rare that Grazia Daily HQ gets in a right old fluster, but when we heard that America’s premiere fitness facility is opening its doors to us flabby Britons, there were audible yelps of excitement. Namely about the possibility of finally achieving Miley Cyrus’s abs!
Equinox, the high powered fitness club that boasts Cameron Diaz, Leann Rimes, Drew Barrymore and Bradley Cooper amongst its members (imagine bumping into him at the water fountain!) will finally launching on London’s High Street Kensington, this October.
And with a whopping 55 clubs across the US, any frequent visitor to the States will be aware of its notoriety, as well as its serious perks. We are talking about on-site luxury clothing store’s and locker rooms stuffed with dreamy Kiehl’s products. It's the stuff that dreams are made of. Us Grazia gals are particularly excited about the eucalyptus infused towels and 24 carat gold facials rumoured to be on offer - suddenly, a night at gym doesn’t seem like such a chore after all!
Also provided are creative classes such as Shockwave, developed by World Champion Rower, Josh Crosby, which focuses on blending team competition with self-motivation and Barre Burn which is inspired by movement and the graceful physique of a dancer. Sounds interesting to us - we are envisioning our graceful Darcy Bussell-esque moves already.
Even if you don’t fancy an extensive workout, there is no doubt that Equinox will be the place to see and be seen (and at £180 per month it should be). Chief executive Harvey Spevak, expects Equinox to attract the same "active, type-A personality" customers as it does in Manhattan. Well, we like the sound of that.
