Kym Marsh accepts a caution for fly-tipping her Coronation Street scripts

Actress Kym Marsh has accepted a caution for fly-tipping and paid a council’s clean up costs, it was told in court today.

The soon-to-be-wed star was reportedly charged with fly-tipping after some of her soap scripts were found in bags of rubbish which had been dumped.

However the prosecution (Salford City Council) decided to withdraw the charges after ‘new evidence’ came to light.

Although Kym accepts the charges it’s believed that she claims that she was duped by a conman who she paid to get rid of her rubbish.

The Manchester Evening New reported that a man dressed in a high-visibility jacket knocked on her door, offering to remove the rubbish. According to their report she then paid him £60 and forgot all about it.

That was until she learnt of the prosecution after building rubble, pieces of furniture and of course the scripts were fo und and traced back to her.

Kym did not attend the hearing today but she did take to Twitter a short while ago to say:  “Unfortunately another very inaccurate and highly offensive story in circulation today. Again my lawyers are having to intervene! #fuming”

We’re not entirely sure which ‘story’ she is referring to but at least all the rubbish (sorry) is behind her.
