The Only Way Is Essex has returned to our telly boxes - hurrah! In celebration, we grabbed a chat with the radiant Lydia Bright, who has just taken part in the St. Ives ‘Seven Day Challenge’. To encourage young women to embrace their natural beauty and cut down on the hours spent applying make-up, The TOWIE star posed for a make-up free photo shoot (after having a good facial scrub, that is). Doesn't she look beaut? So listen up as Lyds dishes on her beauty secrets, from beating spots to her favourite food...
Grazia Daily: What epitomises beauty in your eyes?
Lydia Bright: I think there is nothing more beautiful than a smile, a natural complexion and a radiant g low makes everyone beautiful.
Grazia Daily: What is your top beauty secret?
Lydia Bright: My fave beauty secret is to apply sudocream on a spot overnight. The next morning it will dry out the spot and calm down the swelling.
Grazia Daily: Why is a good scrub essential to your beauty regime?
Lydia Bright: A good scrub is essential to your weekly beauty regime. I swear by St Ives Apricot Invigorating Facial Scrub and use it three times a week. It helps make my skin look brighter and more radiant and gives me the confidence to wear less make-up.
Grazia Daily: Have you had any beauty disasters?
Lydia Bright: When I was younger I always used to have beauty disasters but as you grow up you begin to realise less is more.
Grazia Daily: Is there one beauty trend you'd like to try but haven't been brave enough to?
Lydia Bright: I would love to try bright prints on my nails but I always get scared they will clash with my outfits.
Grazia Daily: Are there people you allow to see you without make-up?
Lydia Bright: Yes - my family, friends and Tom always see me without make-up.
Grazia Daily: Which modern-day beauties do you admire?
Lydia Bright: I love Blake Lively she constantly smiles and always looks so beautiful and happy.
Grazia Daily: You always look glam on the red carpet - how do you do it?
Lydia Bright: I love getting ready for a red carpet event so I put many hours into preparing for the event. I normally hire a make-up artist to do my face and hair so this always helps :D
Grazia Daily: How do you stay in such amazing shape?
Lydia Bright: I try to incorporate exercise in my daily life but I'm not a big fan of generic gym workouts. I do love to go swimming a couple of times a week and there is an amazing Virgin Active near where I live with a large pool, so I go there. I also love my bike, following the charity bike ride I did with Denise for GOSH earlier in the year, and am going to do the Cycle part of the Virgin London Triathlon in September with Zoe Hardman and Amy Guy which will be fun. I also try and walk as much as I can and I love eating healthy food. Sashimi sushi is my fave.
