Who wants a makeover from Kim Kardashian? Grazia HQ would have been screaming “Me! Me! Me!” if you asked us before we watched this video. Kimmy K's makeup always looks pristine and totally fabulous. The queen of glam gave Laura Brown, the editor of Harpers Bazaar, a KK style makeover on camera. The result? Not quite the look we'd wish for!
Kimmy K met the editor straight from the airport wearing a Valentino leather jacket and Celine top and told the editor about her new found love for Givenchy and Celine. She star has been wearing a lot of the designers' clothes recently and has also started wearing slicker hairstyles and less makeup. Despite having toned down her look, Kim expresses her love for contouring in the vide o. Kim says that she dramatically alters her face by contouring, not by plastic surgery, She says that she hasn't had any other than Botox (which she says doesn't count btw).
Kim says: "“I’m going to show you the power of contouring. You can make the whole look of your nose so much shorter. Contouring makes your face look really little and chiselled.”
She says that she initially contours in a three from the top of her forehead to her cheekbones to under her chin. Then she contours out from the brow and down the nose. She demonstrates how to on Laura!
Laura’s resulting look is VERY heavily contoured cheekbones and intensely smoky eyes. Why? Well Kim uses her own makeup suited to her olive skin rather than the editor’s fairer tones. Oops! It’s not exactly an everyday look…but the editor isn't too unhappy with it laughing that it's 'part lion, part Kardashian, all the way beautiful.” Kim describes it as looking good..."from far away"!
We’ve not given up on our sculpted cheekbone and smoky eye dreams. We still love Kim’s look - we just won’t be using her video as inspiration. Instead we’ll be using one from the playlist of top 14 favourite Kim Kardashian hair and makeup tutorials below. Two hours of inspiration for nights out!
