If I sniffed at tropical prints earlier in the year, boy am I regretting it now. Everything I've worn this week has felt wrong wrong wrong. Too dark, too heavy, too silky.
What is clearly missing from my Emergency Climate Change wardrobe is something like Kate Bosworth was wearing yesterday when she did a spot of shopping in Theory in Los Angeles.

I'm realising way too late that weeks like this are exactly what the tropical print trend was for. Palm prints are possibly the only thing that could feel right this week. Apart from a Stella McCartney Team GB kit, of course.
I experienced the same pangs of jealously when one of my esteemed colleagues breezed into the office on Monday in a tropical print dress from Maarten Van Der Horst's capsule collection for Topshop. Of course that sold out months ago. Probably when we were battling wind and rain back in April. Curses to all you fashion followers with foresight.
But all is not lost. Bosworth is so goddamn cool that she picked up this dress in none other than H&M and guess what? It's in the sale. £14.99. If I wasn't so hot I'd race you there.
