It was recently announced that Ashley Tisdale is teaming up with Puma for the brand's 2012 Project Pink initiative to fight breast cancer.
The 27-year-old actress will join a group of athletes and girls from around the world to advocate for the charity initiative throughout the summer and will also shoot a PSA in the coming weeks.
In a statement to JustJared, the "High School Musical" actress said, "I'm thrilled to be working with Puma on Project Pink this season," adding, "Breast cancer is a cause that's so close to my heart, and I love the program's message of empowerment for young women."
The blonde beauty went on to say, "I wear my pi nk for my grandmother, who recently battled breast cancer. I'm happy to say that she's now in remission, but there are too many women out there who are still fighting."
Miss Tisdale will keep her fans up-to-date via Twitter and in addition, for each tweet using #projectpink the shoe company will donate one dollar to the Project Pink.
